This Gallo-Roman bridge over the River Aveyron was part of the road from Rodez to Cahors and before that of the old Roman road which was used to transport minerals from the mines of La Bastide. It was guarded by the nearby castle, occupied by the English during the Hundred Years' War. A round tower, part of the outside walls, is still visible.
